A seasoned healthcare professional, qualified in the field of Laboratory Medicine, specialised in the discipline of Clinical Pathology. Have an excellent understanding of the agenda of the Department of Health, and that is; managing demand of medical laboratory and medical transfusion test investigations. Formed a hospital governance body that constituted of clinicians to develop best practice guidelines for rational use of laboratory test investigations using a demand management model called Electronic Gate Keeping (EGK); and blood products using Patient Blood Management (PBM) guidelines to achieve the departments agenda.
I am passionate about children and extremely concerned about their wellbeing including growth, health, education and spaces where they live, learn and play.

Have a proven track record of successfully reducing NHLS and SANBS expenditures at a central tertiary teaching hospital by millions of rands from using the EGK model and PBM guidelines.
NMAH made a significant impact and gains on cost savings; ensuring that, laboratory and blood services remain affordable and sustainable for the department to utilise.
